On Anjin Media, what happens in between is a plan. The brief - up to 2,000 characters, with a target duration of 10 to 600 seconds - returns as an ordered set of passages, each carrying its transcript text and source timecodes. Strike, reorder or pin segments synchronously and free; revise the whole plan in plain language; and only then render, the single step that spends. Through the MCP server that checkpoint is itself tools - get_cut_plan, revise_cut_plan - so an agent inherits the same discipline: no spend before a settled plan. The REST API exposes the identical loop.
The other divergence is what finally renders: a narrative composed from passages across a session - or across up to four named sessions in a persistent library, each session carrying up to four camera angles. Renders arrive with SRT captions, an EDL in JSON and a QC report; the product page makes the full case, and pricing meters compositions monthly - plans and revisions spend nothing.

Native MCP is real parity
Most tools in this category bolt agent access on late; Reap, like us, made MCP a first-class door. An agent clipping through Reap is using a genuinely agent-native product, and if you are scoring the two of us on that axis alone, call it even - the difference is the rest of the loop, and only that.
From ask to clip in fewer steps
When one clip is the whole job, a checkpoint is overhead. Reap's direct path - ask in natural language, set a range, take the clip - reaches the output in fewer steps than our plan-first loop ever will, and for that job the shorter path is simply correct.
Duration ranges suit quick work
A range is the natural unit for a fast social-length cut: name the bracket, let the tool land inside it. Our target-and-tolerance settings buy precision a composed narrative needs, at the cost of one more decision - when the true spec is a bracket, their steering fits it better.

- It gets a checkpoint. Our thirteen tools include get_cut_plan, revise_cut_plan and update_cut_plan, so an agent reads the plan as data, edits or revises it without spending, and only then calls render_cut - the one tool that spends. Renders come back as signed URLs with SRT, EDL JSON and QC sidecars for whatever sits downstream.
